You know that feeling you get when you're so excited but absolutely terrified to do something? Kind of like that feeling you get when you're about to start a big race or competition, or when you're in line about to ride a rollercoaster. Well imagine that, times 20. Coming to UCSB was both an easy but difficult decision... and for so many reasons. I was one of three students from my high school to attend. It was exciting to think I'd start a new beginning, but it was just as scary.
But from that decision, I learned and embraced what it meant to be part of a community and a family. I learned, and I kept on learning about the people, the places, and their passions.
a new perspective
I loved how the beach was always just a few steps away from me. I think I'll miss this the most. No, not just because it's the beach, but because I've learned so much from the people I've been lucky enough to share this path with. I've gained so many new perspectives and learned to appreciate them all.
here's to the everyone
Here's to the people I've met and the places I've been during my time here at UCSB. I've crossed paths with many, shared some unforgettable memories with others, and learned from each and every one.
and here's to ucsb
UCSB, I will never forget you and my time here. You have given me so many people, shown me so many places, and given me the opportunity to learn so much. I will miss you dearly.
